James Tormey

Vice president, quantitative portfolio manager in the systems trading group, Tudor

Mr. Tormey joined Tudor in August 2008. At Tudor, he has been developing fundamentally-driven global macro models. Prior to joining Tudor, Mr. Tormey was a Senior Researcher at Barclays Global Investors (1997-2008), where he developed and managed systematic global macro strategies for 11 years in Sydney, San Francisco, and London. Prior to joining Barclays, Mr. Tormey was an Asset Consultant at Towers Perrin Inc. (1995-1997) as well as a Senior Economist with the Australian Federal Government (1992-1995), most recently working with the Australian Government pension scheme. Mr. Tormey holds a M.Sc. in Applied Finance from Macquarie University, Sydney (1996) and a B.A. in Economics from the Australian National University (1991). He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
